Wedding bells are ringing in Accra Stay By Plan as Daddy Joe’s daughter, Dee, gets ready to marry her boyfriend, Abu despite objections from her siblings who are ready to crash the wedding.
Dee announced that she was engaged to Abu during a rare family meeting but her siblings, Julius and Joshua, are opposing the nuptial and are making moves to ensure their sister’s marital status remains unchanged.
From insinuating that Abu’s hometown is too far, to questioning his ability to take care of Dee, Julius, and Joshua and on a mission to see Dee miss out on becoming a Mrs.
Let’s take a quick look at all those who stand to gain something should Abu and Dee defy the odds and finally walk down the aisle.
Mama Dee: The mother of the soon-to-be bride would obviously enjoy a lot of plaudits before, during, and after the upcoming wedding. She would use her incoming status to spite her fellow co-wives of Daddy Joe because, among all the siblings, it is Dee who has settled down. This new status however would be nothing compared to the financial perks she hopes to enjoy from her incoming son-in-law, Abu.
Joshua and Julius: These stepbrothers of Dee, despite expressing objection over Dee’s choice of a life partner, stand to also benefit a lot from their incoming brother-in-law, Abu, after finding out that he has a deep pocket. The brothers have agreed to see the marriage go through with the ulterior motive of depending on Abu for all their financial needs.
Richman: The bestfriend of Julius is what you ca n call ‘a leech’ in real life. Richman is banking on his friendship with Julius to tag along on all his outings to milk Abu of his money and also lean in to get any opportunity the prospective husband of Dee has to offer.
The Dadzies: Wofa Dadzie and his wife, Margaret, intend to use their profession as dressmakers to secure a huge contract to provide all the clothes Dee intends to use on her big day. The couple has already made their intentions clear to Dulcie through whom they a lobbying to be given the sewing contract.
