Akwaaba Magic’s House of Klu commenced this week with a bang, throwing viewers straight into the deep end of the Klu family's drama. The episodes, which aired from Tuesday, April 1, 2025, to Friday, April 4, 2025, were packed with tension, secrets, and a whole lot of family chaos, and the ending of the fourth episode has everyone guessing what’s coming next.
The season opens with Sena, the calm, calculated, chill youngest son, stuck in a strange, recurring dream. In it, he knocks down a boy who’s running away after stealing a phone. He wakes up sweaty, and the dream keeps haunting him in episodes one, three, and four. Eventually, he opens up to his close friend Nuna about it. There’s a connection between them, and everyone sees it, except Nuna, who always shuts down any talk of romance.
While Sena comes off as a good guy, he shows his darker side in the first episode. To get some important land documents for his dad’s big real estate project, he blackmails Mr. Kyei from the Lands Commission with photos of him having an affair. A bold and ruthless move, and it works. Sena surprises his dad with the signed papers at his birthday party, and his dad is over the moon.
Meanwhile, Sena’s sister Yayra is also trying hard to win their dad’s approval, but her efforts keep falling on the rocks, drifting her away from their dad’s good books. Their older brother Elikplim, on the other hand, couldn’t care less.
He shows up to the same party completely drunk, surrounded by loud club girls. Before his arrival, he briefly gets arrested for drunk driving, but their mom, Mrs. Klu, uses her connections to get him off the hook. His behavior at the party embarrasses their dad in front of all his important guests, and Elikplim’s actions negatively affect Mr. Klu’s project in the long term.
As if that’s not enough family drama, Yayra’s husband Daakyehene, is up to no good. He’s pushing her to get on their father’s good side, but he has his own plans. Daakyehene wants to elope with his beautiful side chick, Amanda, played by Efia Odo, once the money starts rolling in. Amanda even crashes the party after Daakyehene ignores her calls.
Yayra sees them talking secretly, and her suspicions grow. When she talks to her mom about it, her mom suggests having a baby to fix the marriage, a strange piece of advice that further adds to the drama.
Mr Klu’s world also seems to be falling apart as things take a turn for the worse in the land deal. The local people occupying the land meant for his project don’t want to leave, and by the end of episode four, some guys from the community spot Sena at Elikplim’s club and start hatching a plan to harm him as the Klu family’s attempt to repossess the land irks them.
The maiden week of House of Klu has already left viewers on the edge of their seats as we await what the Klu family has in store next week.
