Sakora is running out of patience and time and rightly so, his group of carefully selected descendants of ancestors is giving him a very tough time.
Kwesi Manu and Mr Mensah are the ‘stubborn ones’ in question who have turned down the offer to join Sakora’s “satan company” to destroy Amoaniamaa before she can even think of making her first vengeful move.
For Kwesi Manu, he would rather wallow in poverty and stick to his ‘hand-to-mouth’ trotro job than have untold wealth and influence with the caveat of joining the Gye Nyame Lodge and fight on the side of ‘evil’. This decision was influenced by his homely wife who would cast and bind Sakora following her staunch religiosity. However, when disaster strikes, Kwesi is sent into a coma by Sakora’s machinations.
The trotro driver’s son makes moves to restore his father’s health and get him to live by the whim and caprice of Sakora who is not ready to take “no” for an answer. Now that Kwesi Manu has been restored to full health, will he come to accept the invitation into the Gye Nyame Lodge or still maintain his resolve to stay away from trouble?
For shrewd businessman, Mr Richard Mensah, wealth is not his enemy because he is already living the life of his dreams. The only thing he desires is an heir to inherit him - something he and his wife, Rebecca, have struggled to achieve ever since they got married.
After investigating his kidnap, Mrs Mensah chances upon Sakora who promises her the one thing she has desired all her married life - a child of her own. This has sparked a desire in her to convince Mr Mensah to accept Sakora’s offer to join the Gye Nyame Lodge. Without his consent, Mrs Mensah gets Sakora to destroy the livelihood of her husband with the hopes of bringing him to his knees and crawling into the coven of the Gye Nyame Lodge for restoration. Will Mr Mensah chase his losses speedily by accepting to be part of the exclusive team being put together to stop Amoanimaa or would he adjust to the life of penury?
The only silver lining in Sakora’s cloud currently is Yaw Donkor who is more than ready to become the first initiate of the Gye Nyame Lodge. Coming from a small practice of traditional craftsmanship, Yaw has longed for authentic power and influence which would win him the reverence he has so desired from the leaders and inhabitants of Asempa village. This move would be one that would give Sakor some respite as he awaits feedback from Kwesi and Richard.
