The Klu family faced a cunning and dangerous opponent in Alhaji Bukari, a businessman with hidden motives and a personal agenda to take control of Mr. Klu’s real estate project. What began as a strategic partnership quickly turned into a calculated betrayal, exposing deeper cracks within the Klu family and boardroom politics.
Bukari was introduced to Mr. Klu by Daakyehene, who had hoped to use the connection to secure his own influence within the company. However, Bukari was never loyal to Daakyehene. While pretending to support Mr. Klu’s vision, Bukari was secretly orchestrating many of the setbacks that have plagued the Area 30 project, including community protests, investor withdrawals, and internal boardroom friction.
His plan was simple but dangerous: create problems for the project, then position himself as the only viable solution by offering to buy out Mr. Klu and take over the development. This move would have given Bukari control of the company, sidelining the Klu family.
Fortunately for the Klus, Sena uncovered the plot. Already under pressure after losing his pull to move the project forward, Sena conducted his own investigation into Bukari’s involvement and suspicious moves. He eventually found out that Bukari was at the centre of the recent chaos surrounding the project.
Sena immediately informed his father, and Mr. Klu reacted with anger and urgency. Determined to protect his legacy, Mr. Klu, with Sena by his side, launched a counterattack. They hired a private investigator to gather evidence of Bukari’s past and current illegal dealings. The investigator returned with damaging information, including proof of shady transactions and fraudulent business behaviour.
Armed with this evidence, Mr. Klu and Sena confronted Bukari. They gave him a choice: step down from the board, retract the false claims he had made about Mr. Klu, and walk away from the project, or face public exposure and legal consequences. Faced with the threat of total ruin, Bukari agreed to their demands. The Klus ended the week with a significant win.
